Wayne Cook, Leader of the unregistered federal Social Credit Party, announced his support of the Christian Heritage Party of Canada last week, and he has urged his party members to join CHP Canada to form a stronger, united party to fight for social conservatives. His partial letter to Social Credit Party members follows…

In early 2006, a few supporters of the old Social Credit Party decided to re-establish the party on the national level. By mid 2008, we felt that this would not be possible and the executive began discussions with several other registered political parties. Discussions have been held with The PC Party, The Libertarian Party of Canada, The Canadian Action Party and the CHP.

This process has taken over a year, as we needed to find a party with a similar philosophical base. While we have much in common with CAP and the Libertarians, there were certain elements of their platforms which did not fit with our views.

I am very pleased to announce that we will join with the CHP to form a stronger registered national political party. In 2008, the CHP ran 59 candidates and with the possibility of an election, we can wait no longer. Last night, I spoke to our new leader Jim Hnatiuk, who was very welcoming of our group.

Thank you for you past support and looking forward to a stronger party under Jim Hnatiuk’s leadership.

Wayne Cook
National President, SC Party of Canada
cookwayne@rogers.com

CHP Canada welcomes all Social Credit Party members aboard who choose to accept our policies and guiding principles, and looks forward to a stronger future together. As our Leader, Jim Hnatiuk, stated, “This, along with Prayer Canada’s endorsement in February, that CHP Canada is the only federal party Christians can in good conscience support, shows that momentum is building for a political party which will stand for traditional moral values in Canada, in all aspects of its platform.”

As more and more Canadians discover the fiscally and morally responsible policies of CHP Canada, the party will undoubtedly continue to grow in numbers and power — power to influence public policy for the betterment of all Canadians. The Christian Heritage Party is the last hope for fiscal and social conservatives in Canada!

WOODSTOCK, May 1, 2009 (CHP Tobique Mactaquac News) – Canada’s 6th largest federal political party has opened an Electoral District Association (EDA) in the New Brunswick riding of Tobique–Mactaquac. A candidate has already been selected, and residents will now have the choice of the Christian Heritage Party of Canada when next they return to the polls.

“This is a positive step forward for New Brunswick,” says Jason Farris, Vice-President of the CHP Tobique Mactaquac EDA and the CHP candidate. “While there are good people active in other parties, they are forced to follow party lines or suffer strict party discipline. Personal convictions are not allowed to come through.

“The CHP will offer bold leadership and foster discussion of serious moral issues that many Canadians are concerned about, but the other parties avoid.”

The CHP is the only federal party that endorses the principles enshrined in the Preamble to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms in the Canadian Constitution, which says: “Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law…”

“Biblical principals are not just for ‘religious’ people,” explains Farris. “Canada was established from a Christian perspective; with principles that allow freedom of religion, free speech, honesty and integrity. Those principles created a society that has drawn people from every corner of the globe.

“The CHP is not out to convert people. We’re here to offer better solutions for Canada’s most pressing issues, and encourage the principles upon which this great country was established!”

Party leader Jim Hnatiuk, a resident of Nova Scotia, says he is also excited about this fresh opportunity for New Brunswickers. “CHP Canada is growing and making many new inroads; we now have more than six thousand members nationwide. It’s excellent news to hear that CHP New Brunswick is once again active, and will be running candidates in the next election. New Brunswick is the ninth province that will see the CHP active, furthering our goal to present a full slate of candidates, coast-to-coast-to-coast, as soon as possible.”

The CHP is Canada’s only pro-life and pro-family federal political party; upholding health and security, and Canadian sovereignty. For more information on the party and its new New Brunswick EDA, visit them online at www.chpTM.ca or call toll-free 1-888-527-5566.
