OTTAWA, Ontario – The Leader of the Canadian Action Party of Canada, Dr. Andrew Moulden, has resigned that position in order to give his full support to the Christian Heritage Party of Canada.

In a statement today, Dr. Moulden said, “I remain committed to serving our fellow citizens and country with a political organization that best reflects the interests of our country, fellow beings, and the Golden Rule…”

Dr. Moulden holds a PhD in Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology with a sub specialty in Cognitive Neuroscience. He said he sees the CHP as “an effective vehicle for interested citizens to re-claim the values, nationhood, and voice they genuinely need and must have.”

The Leader of the CHP, Jim Hnatiuk, responding to Dr. Moulden’s decision said, “The CHP national team and I are absolutely delighted by this news. Dr. Moulden contacted our national office a few weeks ago and told us he would be starting the process of resigning as leader of the Canadian Action Party in order to put his full support behind the CHP. We recognize Dr. Moulden’s credentials as exemplary. His leadership experience and training, both politically and professionally, will be a real asset to our party.”

Hnatiuk, who leads the sixth largest federal political party in Canada said, “The Christian Heritage Party is currently experiencing significant gains. We expect many more like-minded people of all professions across the political spectrum will join forces with us once they also realize the policies and potential of our party.”

He said, “In March of this year the head of Prayer Canada, Arne Bryan, asked his own membership of five thousand to put their full support behind CHP Canada. Two months ago Social Credit Party leader Wayne Cook, asked all his members to join the CHP. In April of this year Frank Hilliard, President of Boundary Pistol Club in Grand Forks BC, resigned as a Director of the Southern Interior Conservative Party Association to put his full support behind CHP Canada.

The CHP leader said, “People are tired of the years of countless debates, protests, letters, and phone calls falling on deaf ears in the House of Commons. There is now rapidly-growing support for a political party that will speak for them on important issues and change the direction in which this county is headed. As more and more people recognize the potential of the CHP to unite Canadians, this swelling tide will make this Party a significant contributor to the national dialogue.”

A report released this month by the C.D. Howe Institute entitled, “Faster, Younger, Richer? The Fond Hope and Sobering Reality of Immigration’s Impact on Canada’s Demographic and Economic Future,” says Canadians need to have more babies to avoid an economic crisis as Canada’s aging population retires. They also state that immigration is not the magic “fix-all” that it is made out to be. In fact, they claim that even vastly increasing numbers of immigrants would have “startlingly little effect” on the overall age structure in Canada.

There will soon be more retirees in Canada than working-age people to make money, pay taxes and support the pension and health care needs of an increasingly older population.

CHP Canada is unique among Canadian federal political parties in that we are aware of, and have been responding to, this demographic trend with policies that address the looming crisis.

CHP Canada will work to strengthen marriage and end no-fault divorce; stimulate the birth rate with a childcare allowance of $1000/month; promote adoption instead of abortion; enact a Fair Tax which would spur the economy and productivity; and establish Personal Security Accounts to ensure Canadians are prepared for retirement or work force interruptions.

CHP Canada has the right policies to deal with the challenges Canada is facing.

It’s evident that our current Parliament is not getting the job done for this country. It’s time for change.

Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor:

At this time of year when students are graduating and celebrations are taking place, I begin to ponder what lies ahead for this and future generations. Will they have the freedoms of speech and religion that we, even now, must fight to enjoy, or will they be stifled by Human Rights Commissions seeking to silence those who rise against the “politically correct” attitudes of society? Will they retain the right to refuse immoral or unethical practises, such as abortion, based on their religious principles, or will they be required by law to rescind their inner-most convictions and comply — or face jail time? Will we leave them with the right to own firearms and the right to own and enjoy private property, or will there be nothing but memories left of these Canadian rights for the next generation?

The Christian Heritage Party (CHP) is here to take a stand for our Canadian rights, and already has against the Canadian Human Rights Commission, for all New Brunswickers; for all Canadians. So rare it is in this country today, to have a political party stand up for what is right for the nation, not just itself. I joined the CHP because its policies fell in line with my beliefs like no other party’s ever have. As more New Brunswickers discover the strong moral and accountable platform presented by the CHP, I am confident they will join us to help ensure we leave our future generations a Canada they can be proud of!

Dear Editor:

The Governor General has officially accepted the protest resignations from the Order of Canada of three more past recipients in light of Henry Morgentaler’s appointment last July. I wonder, what will be left of Canada’s highest civilian honour when the dust finally settles and we count the remaining few? It’s a disgrace to our country.

Furthermore, with his recent court victory, it seems Dr. Morgentaler will not stop until he has thoroughly sullied the good name of New Brunswick, and veritably, Canada. It is a travesty when Canada not only allows unborn babies to be killed, but also has our courts forced by law to grant abortionists the right to sue our government for funding to commit these terrible acts.

The arrival of the Christian Heritage Party into New Brunswick and its commitment to protect the rights of the unborn is timely indeed. I was very pleased to see the interest of my fellow New Brunswickers in representing the CHP in ridings throughout the province during our first provincial meeting held recently in Fredericton. I expect that interest will only grow in the coming months as Dr. Morgentaler continues to make our case for us regarding the need to protect the unborn.

FREDERICTON, New Brunswick – Christian Heritage Party (CHP) Leader Jim Hnatiuk, in Fredericton Saturday to rally the party faithful during the federal party’s first provincial meeting in New Brunswick, said he wants to see CHP candidates in every riding.

“We want to have 308 candidates, one for every riding in Canada. In the last election, we had 59,” said Mr. Hnatiuk. “The national office and the New Brunswick EDA [Electoral District Association] in Tobique–Mactaquac will help you organize in your area if you want to get an EDA off the ground.”

The 6,000-member-strong Christian Heritage Party, the sixth-largest of the 19 federal parties in Canada, is currently planning for an explosive growth in this province. In New Brunswick, the Christian Heritage Party’s official spokesman, Jason Farris, wants to see that change.

According to Mr. Farris, the party’s goal in this province is to be able to run a candidate in each of the 10 federal ridings in the next election. Saturday, he urged the dozen party members in attendance at the first provincial meeting to support the party both financially and by volunteering.

“In 2002, I got involved with the CHP in Nova Scotia and the party was virtually unknown there then, and in the last federal election we were able to field five candidates,” said Mr. Hnatiuk. “We started off with fewer people than you have here today so don’t be discouraged by numbers.”

“As leader, I want to focus on building the party,” he said.

A Blueprint for Restoration, the Christian Heritage Party’s policy book, calls for smaller government, pro-life legislation, balanced budgets by governments and tougher penalties for criminals.

FREDERICTON, New Brunswick – Christian Heritage Party (CHP) Leader Jim Hnatiuk says he will run a candidate in every federal riding in New Brunswick in the next federal election.

“There is a great thirst in New Brunswick for a federal political party that bases its decisions on ethical, Judeo-Christian principles,” said Mr. Hnatiuk. “The CHP is that party, and I firmly believe with hard work, prayer and the dedication of our members, we will be able to field a candidate in all of the 10 New Brunswick federal ridings in the next election.”

Mr. Hnatiuk outlined his vision for the party in New Brunswick at the first province-wide meeting of CHP Canada at the Hugh John Flemming Forestry Complex, at 1350 Regent Street in Fredericton on Saturday, May 23 at 2 p.m.

The CHP, sixth-largest federal party in Canada with more than 6,000 members, is currently on a membership blitz and is making gains in New Brunswick. In the past few months, party members have established an Electoral District Association (EDA) in Tobique–Mactaquac and have chosen their first candidate, Mr. Jason Farris, to run in the next federal election.

“Once we connected with the right people, we were able to establish an EDA and select a candidate in only three months, and we already have another candidate prepared to run in Moncton,” said Mr. Farris. Added Hnatiuk, “By duplicating this across the remaining eight ridings, we should be able to have candidates in place within the next two years.”

In the last federal election held Oct. 14, 2008, the Conservative Party won 143 seats, the Liberals took 77 seats, the Bloc Quebecois garnered 49 and the New Democratic Party went away with 37 seats. There are also two independents in the House of Commons.

With changes to the Canada Elections Act passed in May, 2007, the next general election should be held the third Monday of the fourth calendar year following the previous election, which would be Oct. 15, 2012.
