Won’t voting for the CHP cause vote splitting?
Canadian voters have a right to vote for a candidate of their choosing. The problem in Canada, unfortunately, is that we still use the First-Past-the-Post electoral system, which does not accurately reflect voter’s wishes when there are more than two candidates running in an election. We need Proportional Representation to help our voting system really work. When that happens, we can truly say that every vote counts!

The traditional Christian vote in the past has swung more toward the Conservatives because they appear to most closely represent the values of social conservatives. This can NO LONGER take place, however, because the Conservative Party has all but abandoned their conservative roots. For example:
- The Conservative Party supports same-sex marriage and will not defend the traditional definition of marriage with legislation.
- The Conservative Party supports abortion. They have gone on record saying that they will not open the abortion debate now or in the future, and will not permit anyone else to open the abortion debate.
- The Conservative Party is fiscally irresponsible! We are now running a deficit budget. “Controlled spending” and “balanced budget” are terms that do not apply to the Conservative government.
In the Christian faith, there are non-negotiable moral principles that cannot be compromised. Strong examples of these are abortion, euthanasia, and homosexual “marriage.” These principles are being violated by the Liberals, the NDP, the Green’s, and, yes, the Conservatives!
Ultimately, every citizen of this country is responsible for how they vote — not to man, but to God. Do not vote strategically! Respect your right to vote. Obey God’s laws. Vote from your faith and Biblical principles!
